The Mecha Chronicles 

Chapter 6 

The prophecy revealed 

(On Galven B’s surface Upgrade is leading Shadow and Metanoid to a temple) 

Shadow: Upgrade could you tell us about this prophecy. 

Upgrade: Come into this temple and I will explain everything. 

(They follow Upgrade and find a painting of Shadow fighting a cloud of darkness with Metanoid by his side. There were eight strange golems with markings next to them and a giant robot with a sword in front of a planet. There were also six chips with the numbers 406, 492, 432, 477, 400, and 407 on them.) 

Shadow: What does this mean? [looks at the chips than realizes what it meant] 

Upgrade: I see that you have figured out that you are destined to save the universe. Here. Take this artifact, it will help you on your travels. [hands shadow a gauntlet with small icons on it] 

Shadow: Thanks. [turns gauntlet into data using horn and stores it] 

Upgrade: Now you must hurry to Equestrea to save the universe. [backs up into the darkness] 

Shadow: Wait! I still have questions! 

Upgrade: Look at the gauntlet and you will know all. [leaves] 

Shadow: Hmm. [projects a 3D model of the gauntlet and looks at the painting] Hey Metanoid take a look at this. 

Metanoid: What is it? 

Shadow: This gauntlet has the same markings as those golems. [takes out the gauntlet and touches the wall with it] 

(The ground starts to shake as a secret door opens to reveal a chamber with eight crystals. Each one the same color as the golems.) 

Shadow: Um? What am I supposed to do with this? 

Metanoid: I guess you have to take them with you. 

(As Shadow grabs the crystals the room starts to shake as a wave of energy hits both Shadow and Metanoid turning the crystals into wristbands with transmitters and communicators. Shadow and Metanoid soon left Galvan B and continued on their way to Equestrea) 

(Back at Aperture Science RP-406 is about to finish assembly and start testing.) 

Turret Assembly A.I.: Template. 

Template Turret: Hello. 

A.I.: Response. 

Turret: Hello. 

A.I.: [beeps and transmits a passing signal] 

(RP-406 was about to go through final inspection) 

A.I.: Template. 

Template Turret: Hello 

A.I.: Response. 

RP-406: Hello. 

A.I.: [Transmits the defective signal] 

(RP-406 gets thrown down the trash shoot.) 

RP-406: [puts her hooves against the walls as sparks fly] 

(RP-406's eyes start to glow as she calculates where to jump. She jumps at the end of the shoot and rases her left hoof and puts her right on top of it. the bottom opens to reveal a portal gun and fires. RP-406 falls into the portal and is grabbed by GLaDoS.) 

GLaDoS: What to we have here? [scans RP-406] State your name. 

RP-406: My name is Mya. 

GLaDoS: Well then TEST SUBJECT NAME HERE prepare to test.
